Turkish rocket

Bunias orientalis. Turkish rocket is a wonderfully productive, hardy (zone 4), perennial salad green in the Brassica family. The plants grow to 3-4 ft tall and continuously produce leaves and flower stalks all summer long. Young leaves can be eaten raw or cooked, unopened flower buds are cooked like rapini/broccoli, and older leaves should be blanched, then cooked like you would kale or spinach. The flowers are very rich in nectar and are a great source of food for honey bees and native pollinators.
