A workshop to learn how to save seeds, with hands-on examples of various vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, squash), herbs (lavender, hyssop), and flowers (marigolds, milkweed, echinacea, rudbeckia). The workshop will cover collecting, cleaning, and drying seeds, as well as saving seeds from grocery-store produce, and a discussion on heirloom, open-pollinated, and hybrid seeds. Participants will be welcome to take home seeds of choice, so bring a few ziplock bags! The workshop will take place on September 27 2025, from 10 am until noon, on the Kingston Peninsula.
