Meadow garlic

Allium canadense. A hardy perennial, native to North America. A wild garlic, growing to 1-1.5 ft in height. All parts can be consumed - bulbs, young leaves (a special treat in the spring!), flowers, and top-set bulbils. Will form a care-free patch if given the chance. Main bulbs are small (~3 cm), with a mild, crisp flavour. Can be used as a substitute for garlic or leeks.
Will grow in full sun or partial shade. Does not require to be harvested or replanted in the fall - you can just plant your bulbs after your purchase in spring or fall and allow your perennial garlic patch to establish.
