This course is taught by Andrew Mathis, a permaculture educator and practitioner in the Fredericton area. Check out his company (Oasis Farmery), or the St Mary's food forest that he designed and planted. Andrew has been showing his own food forest as part of the NB Food Forest Tour since 2024!

Course Description
This course is designed to guide you through the process of creating your own food forest or permaculture property design. Learn about permaculture principles, ethics, and design tools to create abundance in your life and join the movement to create a hopeful flourishing future.

Course Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
• explain the difference between the regenerative and sustainable paradigms,
• apply the permaculture principles and ethics to their own lives,
• apply the permaculture design process and tools to create abundance,
• and design either a small guild for a particular site, or an entire food forest.

In-person offering
When: Monday evenings 6 - 9 pm starting on March 30th for 8 weeks
Where: 780 McEvoy Street, St. Mary's Anglican Church / St. Mary's Community Food Forest
Hybrid option: attend in person some weeks and listen to the course online some weeks
