Symphytum uplandicum - “Bocking 14”. A fantastic companion plant and a well-known "dynamic accumulator" with its huge deep, mining roots. This perennial plant can be used as ground cover around trees to keep weeds, or as a great addition to compost to improve your soil. Its flowers attract and feed pollinators, and its large, fuzzy leaves provide plenty of habitat for beneficial insects.
This variety is sterile, and will not spread from seed. The plant will multiply from root if disturbed, so do not rototill near it! You can purchase this plant as a root that will establish over the course of a few weeks, or as an established plant.

I just received my Comfrey roots. They look fantastic and already have little roots on them. I am excited to plant them and hope they will thrive here in Alberta. Thanks Sima for your great service !
