Welsh onions

Allium fistulosum. A perennial green onion (hardy to zone 5), also known as bunching onion, long green onion, and Japanese bunching onion. Thick, flavourful hollow leaves, similar to a large scallion. Only creates small bulbs, and therefore used mainly for its leaves, like a large, perennial scallion. Use in salads, as garnish on soups or stews, or whichever way you would regular scallions. Attracts pollinators with its signature Allium blooms. Plants can be divided after 3-5 years to rejuvenate the patch.
